Event Manager
JOB TITLE: Event Manager

We’re looking for that right individual to join our team and help bring events to life. Our family owned and operated company hosts over 100 events a year! This position requires a person with a unique variety of skill sets. Though challenging, this is a very rewarding position with multiple opportunities for creative outlets and for you to shine as an industry leader.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
High school diploma or GED certificate required. Degree in Management /Hospitality related programs preferred but not necessary.
Wedding planning experience preferred.
Experience in management and leading a team is required; minimum of 1 year.
Experience in the hospitality industry is required.
Experience in Microsoft and Google Suites a plus.
ABILITIES REQUIRED
We’re looking for a driven self-starter with ability to multitask while excelling in a collaborative setting. Weddings require a strong attention to detail and we need an individual with
unique creativity when working with clients as quick problem solving is a must. This individual must be highly social as networking with other industry vendors to establish quality working relationships is required. Office days involve, tours, client meetings, and computer work; but on event days, the ability to work on your feet for duration of 8+ hours is key. Conducting venue tours and booking new reservations is a critical part of this position. This individual must have an approachable presence with good customer service skills and a professional appearance. An essential part of this position is the requirement to oversee job functions in all departments for successful event completion. This includes handling customer conflict resolution in a confident and professional manner, evaluate and address issues to make improvements accordingly and maintain an operating environment that assures consistent guest satisfaction. This individual is responsible for training new Event Staff and Bartender staff and ensuring their proper integration into our team.
Maintaining a pro-active human resource function to ensure employee motivation, especially during our busy season, is a must. This individual is encouraged to assist with creating and implementing marketing projects such as monitoring company social media accounts, creating blog posts, working with event photographers and/or couples to obtain rights to images, etc. Monthly management meetings to brainstorm ideas for company growth allow for team collaboration and individual ideas to flourish. Assistance in any and all
departments as needed and perform all other related duties to host successful events is required.
ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS
This position requires an individual comfortable working in a multitude of environments; indoor air conditioned office, outdoors spring - fall and varying temperatures indoors
when working an event.
PAY AND SCHEDULE
Ability to work weekends is essential. Individual schedules vary around our event but a typical schedule would be Tuesday through Saturday. PTO, health insurance, continuing event education and other benefits offered. This is a full time seasonal position (40+ hours a week May - November) with slightly fewer hours in the winter (32+ December – April). Salary is based on experience

Custodial Staff
JOB TITLE: Custodial Staff
REPORTS TO: Kendra Kasischke (Owner)
A Country Lane Lodge Overnight Custodial Staff Member works in accordance with the company mission statement to achieve guest satisfaction within established quality standards.
SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to perform each essential duty and responsibility in a safe and satisfactory manner. This person must be a team player as they are responsible for taking down tables/ chairs, cleaning the venue, setting up tables/ chairs for the next event.
Minimum requirements
High school diploma or GED certificate. Experience in hospitality industry preferred but not required. Must be 21 years or older. Must be able to work overnights, weekends and some holidays. Must be available some Sunday shifts.
Abilities required
Must be a self-starter with ability to multi-task while under deadline pressure. Strong attention to detail. Ability to utilize basic math and computer skills. Understand government health, hotel, or food service regulations. Ability to lift minimum of 50lbs. Ability to work on feet for duration of 6 or more hours.
Environmental Conditions
Inside: Protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes.
Outside: As events encompass the entire 35 acre property, essential functions of this job may include working outdoors. In inclement weather events are moved inside or under outdoor tents facilitated by the client(s). Must be able to adapt to climate changes and work in all weather conditions and seasons.

Bartender
JOB TITLE: Bartender
REPORTS TO: Kendra Kasischke(owner)
A Country Lane Lodge Bartender works in accordance with the company mission statement to achieve complete guest satisfaction within established quality standards.
SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to perform each essential duty and responsibility in a safe and satisfactory manner. This person must be a team player as they are responsible for interacting and serving beverages to patrons during events. They must accurately take and serve beverage orders to patrons either directly or through Event Staff, Check identification of guests to verify age, balance cash and credit receipts and assist outside vendors as needed. Bartenders must be able to handle customer conflict resolution in a confident and professional manner and attempt to limit problems and liability related to guests' excessive drinking by encouraging taxies/ Uber/ etc. or other provided transportation to intoxicated guests. Staff will work to maintain an operating environment that assures consistent guest satisfaction. Bartenders are responsible for set-up, breakdown, cleaning and restocking of the bar on a daily basis. They must maintain a current inventory of all bar supplies. Perform all other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements
High school diploma or GED certificate. Must be willing to obtain and maintain a Responsible Serving of Alcohol certificate with the state of Iowa. Minimum of 2 years' experience preferred. Must be 21 years or older. Must be able to work nights, weekends and some holidays.
Abilities required
Strong verbal and written communication skills required. Must be a self-starter with ability to multi-task while under pressure. Strong attention to detail. Talking to others to convey information effectively. Ability to utilize basic math and computer skills. Understand government health, hotel, or food service regulations. Recognize customer intoxication. Ability to lift minimum of 50lbs. Ability to work on feet for duration of 8 or more hours (average shift 7-12hrs). Ability to communicate with customers in a friendly and professional manor.

A Country Lane Lodge Event Staff Member works in accordance with the company mission statement to achieve guest satisfaction within established quality standards.
SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to perform each essential duty and responsibility in a safe and satisfactory manner. This person must be a team player as they are responsible for cleaning the venue, surrounding grounds. Staff must be able to handle customer conflict resolution in a confident and professional manner, assist guests, and assist outside vendors as needed. Staff will work to maintain an operating environment that assures consistent guest satisfaction. Staff is encouraged to share an interest in wedding and event planning as a significant part of this position requires great attention to detail. Staff is responsible for set-up and breakdown of all tables and chairs both indoors and outdoors, as well as assisting in tours. Perform all other related duties as assigned.
